When you register please ensure that the description of your space accurately depicts what a guest will experience. Load clear pictures of your space and make sure that your calendar is up-to-date. Please respond to all inquiries as quickly as possible. Remember to add cleaning services to your listing when you register - this will cover professional cleaning costs if you are unable to clean yourself.
Please ensure that your space is cleaned before guests arrive. Pay special attention the the bathroom, kitchen and sleeping areas ensuring there are clean sheets, toilet paper and fresh towels available. Check that all appliances are operational and provide guests with a hair dryer, iron, ironing board, umbrella or extra items that can provide the comforts of home.
A predetermined check-in and check-out time will assist with arrival expectations. Ensure that you are aware of the arrival time of the guests. Make sure your guests know how to contact you in the event of a travel delay or last-minute question. Guests should be greeted by yourself or your representative. They should be introduced to the home and its amenities. It's important to remain available and responsive throughout the guests stay. In case of an emergency, your guest should be advised of emergency numbers. It is also a good idea to have a "House Book" that describes the operation of your appliances, bus/ferry schedules, maps and activity brochures.
Make sure your guests' departure is as pleasant as their arrival. Ensure they know the process for returning keys and checking out.
